User settings
User Settings is where your own profile lives and where you decide who else may work in this company, and what they are allowed to do. It is one page with three sections: Profile, Co-workers and — in the desktop app — Integrations.
Where to find it
Manager → Settings → Users.
You can also get here by clicking your initials in the top bar.
Save in the top bar stores everything you changed on this page in one go: your profile and any co-worker rows whose permissions you changed. Discard next to it reverts those changes. Both stay disabled while there is nothing to save. Ctrl+S does the same as Save. Each co-worker row also has its own save button, for storing just that person.
If you do not have the edit users permission, you see a View only banner. You can then read everyone's permissions, but not change them and not invite anyone.
Profile
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| First name / Last name | Your name as it appears in the manager — in the top bar, on quotations you handle and in the co-worker list. Both are required. |
| Managed by your account and not editable here. It is the address you log in with and the one invitations go to. | |
| Language | The language of the manager interface. It switches as soon as you save and applies only to you — your co-workers keep their own choice. |
Logout next to Change password signs you out of the manager.
Change password
Change password opens a dialog that works in three steps:
- Send verification code — we email a code to your account address.
- Paste the code into Verification code and click Verify code. Did nothing arrive? Use Resend, and check your spam folder.
- Enter New password and Confirm password, then Save password.
The two password fields must match; the button stays disabled until they do. You stay logged in after the change — other devices are not signed out.
Co-workers
This section lists everyone with access to this company, with their permissions per person. The search field filters by name or email.
Inviting someone
add opens the invite block. Type the person's email address and search for it:
- Found — the person already has an iConfigure account. Choose the permissions and click Add; they have access immediately.
- No account yet for this email — choose the permissions and click Send invite. They get an email with which they create their account; the permissions you chose are already waiting for them.
If the person already has access to this company, you get a message saying so instead.
You choose the permissions with a role. The permissions that role includes are shown below it:
| Role | Permissions |
|---|---|
| View | Only submissions — view only, no changes. This is the default. |
| Dealer | quotations, compositions, exports and company. |
| Editor | configurations, compositions, templates, exports, submissions and quotations. |
| Admin | Everything except the workbook. |
| Full | All permissions, including the workbook. |
| Custom | Shows every permission as a checkbox, so you tick exactly what they may do. |
Permissions
Permissions come in three groups. edit grants the right to change something; manage grants access to a part of the manager; workbook grants access to the workbook.
| Group | Permission | Grants |
|---|---|---|
| edit | configurations | Creating and editing products, configurations and showrooms. |
| edit | compositions | Creating and editing compositions. |
| edit | templates | Editing the quotation PDF templates. |
| edit | users | Inviting co-workers and changing their permissions — this page. |
| edit | company | Editing company settings: identity, banking, address, logo, email sender. |
| manage | exports | Access to exports. |
| manage | submissions | Access to data submissions. |
| manage | quotations | Access to the quotations pipeline. |
| manage | discounts | Creating and editing discount codes. |
| manage | analytics | Access to the marketing dashboard, dealer analytics and newsletter subscriptions. |
| manage | dealers | Managing dealers and the products you share with them. |
| workbook | prices | Working in the workbook, including price sheets and importing from Excel. |
| workbook | composition | Working in the workbook, including sheets reserved for composition. |
| workbook | specialist | Working in the workbook, including sheets reserved for specialists. |
Any one of the three workbook permissions opens the workbook; a sheet that is reserved for prices, composition or specialist can only be edited with that matching permission. The workbook is only available if it is enabled for your company.
In the table you tick per person exactly what they may do. Each row has three buttons:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Allow all | Ticks every box in that row. If every box is already ticked, it clears them all. |
| Remove access | Revokes that person's access to this company. Asks for confirmation first. |
| Save permissions | Stores the changes for that person only. It lights up as soon as that row has unsaved changes. |
In your own row the users permission cannot be changed, so you cannot lock yourself out of this page. Removing access is permanent for the person concerned — their account keeps existing, they just no longer see this company. Re-inviting them restores access.
Change permissions per person, not per group. Someone who only handles quotations does not need configurations — and that keeps your product data safe from accidents.
Integrations
This section only appears in the desktop app, because it connects to something that runs on your own machine.
Claude Code shows a ready-made prompt that installs the iConfigure Manager MCP server once. Copy prompt puts it on your clipboard; paste it into Claude Code and let it run. After that, Claude Code can operate the Product Editor directly.
Two conditions: the desktop app must be running while you use it, and the Product Editor must be open in it. Without that, the bridge is unreachable.
Tips
- Invite by email, not by account. You do not need to know whether someone already has an account — the search figures it out and picks the right flow.
- Give a new colleague the minimum, then extend. Adding a permission takes one click; undoing a mistake in the product data takes considerably longer.
- Check the list after someone leaves. Remove access is the only step that actually stops them seeing your data.
- Set your language once. It only applies to you, so everyone can work in their own language in the same company.
