Branding

Branding is the one place where your house style is set: your logo, your colours, your typeface and the shape of your buttons. Everything else in iConfigure picks these up — the configurator your visitors use, the emails they receive after a request, and the preview panels inside the manager. Set it once here instead of per product.

The manager can be used in English or Dutch. Each setting below lists the Dutch label in parentheses as well, so the page works whichever language you have selected.

Where to find it

Manager → Design → Branding.

The page has the four settings panels on the left and a preview on the right that shows both surfaces side by side: a mock configurator and a mock email. Change a setting and both update immediately, so you can see whether a colour that works in the configurator also holds up in an email.

Design holds four related pages. Branding is the shared foundation; Configurator is the layout and behaviour of the configurator alone, Email designs the emails themselves, and PDF designs your quotation PDFs.

The settings are grouped into four collapsible panels: Logo, Colours, Typography & style and Shape. Only one panel is open at a time.

Upload your logo as a PNG with Upload logo (Logo uploaden). The file is stored under a fixed name (logo.png) for your company, so uploading a new one replaces the old one everywhere at once — you never have to re-link it in a template or an email.

  • Use a transparent PNG so the logo works on both a light and a dark background.
  • The current logo is shown next to the upload button. There is no delete button: to change the logo, upload a new file.
  • The upload is stored straight away; it does not wait for Save.
  • The logo also feeds the quotation PDFs — see Template editor.

Colours (Kleuren)

SettingDutchWhat it does
Primary colourPrimaire kleurYour accent. Drives the active step, the next button, sliders, selected options and the buttons in your emails. Eight presets, or Custom colour (Eigen kleur) for any other value.
BackgroundAchtergrondThe surface your interfaces sit on. Eight presets — White (Wit), Warm, Cream (Crème), Mist, Concrete (Beton), Dark (Donker), Espresso, Ink (Inkt) — or Custom colour (Eigen kleur).

A background preset is more than a colour: each one carries a hand-tuned set of text, muted-text, border and panel colours, so contrast stays correct. Dark, Espresso and Ink switch the whole interface to a dark scheme. Pick a custom colour only when a preset really does not fit — the text, border and panel colours are then derived from your colour automatically (a dark custom colour switches to a dark scheme too), so check the contrast in the preview.

Because these two colours are shared, one change re-themes the configurator and the emails. That is usually what you want; if the configurator needs something the emails should not have, set it on Configurator instead.

Typography & style (Typografie & stijl)

Typeface (Lettertype) sets the font for everything. The picker offers a curated list under Theme fonts (Themalettertypen) — Hanken Grotesk, Space Grotesk, Newsreader, Marcellus, Jost, Archivo, Oswald and System, which uses the visitor's own system font and loads nothing extra. Below that, All Google Fonts (Alle Google Fonts) lists the full Google Fonts catalogue; type in the search field to find any family by name.

Sizes, bold/uppercase/italic headings and component text size are not set here: those are per surface, on Configurator.

Shape (Vorm)

Button corners (Knophoeken) sets how round every button is: Sharp (Scherp), Soft (Zacht), Curved (Gebogen) or Round (Rond).

This applies to buttons in the configurator and to the call-to-action buttons in your emails. The corners of components (option cards, panels, inputs) are set separately on Configurator, so you can pair round buttons with square panels if that is your style.

Saving

Save (Opslaan) publishes the branding to your whole company at once — every configurator, every email, immediately. Discard (Verwerpen) throws away unsaved changes. Both buttons stay disabled until something has actually changed. Cmd/Ctrl + S saves as well; Cmd/Ctrl + Backspace discards.

If you leave the page with unsaved changes, the manager asks whether to keep editing, discard the changes, or Save and leave (Opslaan en weggaan).

There is no separate development version of your branding, so a save is live for your visitors right away. Check the preview before you save.

Tips

  • Start here, before the Configurator page. Layout choices read differently once the colours and typeface are right.
  • Test your primary colour against the email half of the preview too: a light accent that works on a configurator canvas can be unreadable as button text in an email.
  • Prefer a background preset over a custom colour — the presets bring hand-tuned text and border colours with them.
  • System as a typeface is the fastest option and never shows a font-loading flash.
