Showrooms

A showroom is a 3D scene in which your products stand next to each other, ready to be walked through and configured. The visitor clicks a product in the scene, configures it in a panel, and puts it in the basket — without ever leaving the showroom. One showroom holds one scene plus a list of products, each with its own panel, placement and compositions.

Where to find it

Manager → Configurations → Store.

The list shows every showroom of your company. Each row shows the name, the number of pages and components, and a shortened ID. The search field filters by name or ID; Cmd/Ctrl + K jumps to it. Add showroom creates an empty showroom and opens it in the editor.

Every row has four actions:

ActionWhat it does
Open previewOpens the live showroom in a new tab, exactly as your visitor sees it.
Copy preview linkCopies that same URL to your clipboard — the link you share or embed.
DuplicateMakes a full copy under the name <name> (copy). Use this before a big change.
EditOpens the showroom editor. Clicking anywhere on the row does the same.

If preview and link report Preview unavailable or Link unavailable, no showroom URL is configured for this environment. That is an environment setting, not something in the showroom itself — report it to us.

The editor

The showroom editor has three columns: the structure of the showroom on the left, the live preview in the middle, and the settings of whatever you selected on the right. Everything you change is visible in the preview immediately.

In the ribbon at the top:

  • Desktop / Mobile switches the preview format. This only changes the preview, never the showroom.
  • The language switcher picks the language you edit texts in.
  • Open preview opens the real showroom in a new tab.
  • Discard reverts everything since the last save.
  • Save stores the showroom and the products you edited in it; Ctrl/Cmd + S does the same.
  • Publish puts the development versions of the products in this showroom live. You first see which products will go live and which are skipped (no development version). Unsaved changes are saved first.

The bar at the bottom shows whether the preview is Connected, an Unsaved badge when you have unsaved changes, and the number of problems in the store definition, if any.

The structure

The tree on the left holds three parts:

PartWhat it is
ProductsThe products in the showroom, each with its cards underneath. Drag products or cards to change their order.
Store definitionThe showroom-wide steps of the panel. See Store definition.
PagesShowroom and Cart. Click one to show that page in the preview.

Click the showroom name at the top of the tree to get back to the store settings.

Store settings

FieldWhat it does
NameThe name in the list. Internal only — the visitor never sees it.
Show pricesShows or hides all prices across the entire showroom. Off is useful for a showroom purely for inspiration.
Store default languageThe language the showroom opens in: NL, EN, DE or FR.
Scene URLThe address of the 3D scene the showroom loads. Without it the showroom stays empty.
SubmissionUnder Quotation: which submission the showroom sends its basket to. No submission means nothing is sent. Edit takes you to your submissions.

The submission determines what happens when a visitor completes their basket: which email goes out, which webhook fires, what ends up in the quotations. See Submissions & outputs.

Products

This is the heart of the showroom: one panel per product. Each product may appear once.

Add product (under Products in the store settings) opens a search list of your products; pick one and it is added to the showroom and opened.

When you select a product in the tree, you edit it right here in the showroom: the product's own steps appear below the showroom tree and the Product tab appears in the ribbon, just like in the Product editor. You always edit the development version; the live version stays unchanged until you publish. A product without a development version is marked Read only — click Create development version to start editing it.

Per product you also set:

SettingWhat it does
Panel titleThe heading above the configuration panel. Empty means the product name.
TextA rich-text field for the text the visitor reads next to the product.

The remove button at the top of the product settings takes the product out of the showroom (click twice to confirm). The product itself stays untouched.

Cards

Under a product the showroom shows cards: ready-made variants the visitor can pick with one click instead of assembling everything themselves. Every composition of the product that is set to Show in showroom appears here automatically. Per showroom you can:

  • change the order with Move up / Move down, or by dragging the cards in the tree;
  • hide a card in this showroom only with the eye button; a hidden card is marked Hidden.

Composition on the spot chooses the composition shown on the product's spot in the scene. Its card always stays visible. If that composition no longer exists, the field shows No longer available — choose another one or None.

Store definition

The store definition holds steps that apply to the whole showroom rather than to one product, for example a choice that is shared by several products. If the showroom has no definition yet, click Create definition. You then build its steps in the tree below the showroom tree, just like a product. Features with the same Group share their value across the store.

With the definition selected you also set the Navigation of the panel steps: the Position and the Step navigation. Follows company style uses the setting from your company style.

If the definition contains errors, they are listed above the settings and the definition is not saved until you fix them.

Danger zone

Delete removes the showroom permanently. The products themselves stay untouched; only the showroom disappears.

Working order

  1. Set the Scene URL and the Store default language, and save. Without a scene there is nothing to see.
  2. Add the products that belong in the scene, and give each a Panel title where the product name is not enough.
  3. Check the cards per product: put the variants you sell most at the top and hide the ones that do not belong here.
  4. Link a submission so a completed basket actually reaches you.
  5. Open preview and click through the showroom as a visitor once.
  6. Publish when the products you changed are ready to go live.

Tips

  • Duplicate before a big rebuild. A copy costs one click and keeps a working version around.
  • Keep panel titles short. They sit above a narrow panel; a long title wraps.
  • Hide a composition everywhere from the compositions page. Hiding a card in the editor only applies to this one showroom.
  • Turn off prices for an inspiration showroom. One switch, and the same showroom serves a different purpose.
